The Myth: "Aftermarket Oil Voids My Warranty."
Let’s clear this up once and for all
MYTH
“If I use aftermarket lubricants instead of OEM-branded oil, my equipment warranty will be voided.”
FACT
“As long as the lubricant meets the manufacturer’s specifications, your Vertex warranty remains 100% intact.”
The Legal Truth
This is the single biggest misconception in our industry. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) cannot void a machine warranty simply because you used a different brand of lubricant.
As long as the fluid meets the specific viscosity and performance standards required by the manufacturer, your warranty remains 100% intact. Vertex ensures every drop meets and often exceeds these strict criteria.
The Two Layers of Protection
Double assurance for total peace of mind

1 Official OEM Approvals
For critical machinery, Vertex holds official approval letters from the world's leading engine manufacturers, including Scania, Daimler, Mercedes, Cummins, Mack, Volvo, and Renault. This means our product has been tested and certified by the engine builder themselves.
- ✓ Direct manufacturer approval
- ✓ Factory-tested formulations
- ✓ Global OEM recognition

2 The Vertex Performance Guarantee
We offer the Vertex Comprehensive Warranty. If we recommend a product for your machine, we stand behind it. If a mechanical failure is found to be caused by our lubricant, we repair or replace the equipment.
- ✓ Up to $10M coverage per incident
- ✓ Written technical recommendations
- ✓ Independent lab testing
Coverage & Limits
The fine print made clear

Coverage Limit
Up to NZD $10,000,000 per incident for parts and labour on damaged equipment.

Our Word is Final
If the Vertex Technical Team provides a written recommendation that differs from the OEM, our recommendation takes precedence and defines the warranty period.
